A Sensory Mixtape: of sights, sounds, and tastes.

If you were placed in a room with nothing in it but Rita, that room would become a colorful, fun, amazing room filled with everything you could ever ask for!

Rita is like a relative to me. I get excited to see her just like I would with a grandparent or cousin. Though I don’t see her much so it’s a treat to see her like it is with a family member. In 3rd grade my class was assigned to write our first essay on someone who was special to us and the first person that came to my mind was Rita.

This is a quote from my essay, “I realize that there are friends who also feel like family members. Rita is special because she is one of those people.” Although I don’t see Rita often anymore my feelings haven’t changed. Another quote is, “I love Rita like a family member because I don’t see her much, so it makes me miss her.”

I remember all the work she would do for me and how much love she gave me and how she would always have a big smile on her face, with her shiny white teeth glimmering, her eyes looking into mine with glee, her hands holding mine with a strong comforting grip as we cross the streets.

Rita was my babysitter but not just that, she was my shoulder to cry on, my stuffed animal to comfort me, my guardian to guard me, but most importantly my friend.
